This neighborhood Italian restaurant is around the corner from where I used to live, in Prenzlauer Berg. Friendly service, and simple but cozy atmosphere, and delicious food and not to expensive. What more do you want?

Relatively new, this Vietnamese restaurant has quickly made its mark in the Kollwitzstr. area, and is around the corner from where I live now. Authentic spices and flavourings, have not had a dish that I did not like. Try the tasty homemade deep-fried rolls, and the mango desert is a killer. Can be a bit slow at times, so don't go if you are in a hurry.
My favorite Döner
In Berlin, there is a döner kebap stand nearly on every street corner, and they are probably more or less all decent. But there is one right in the middle of the tourist area Hackesher Markt which I think is particularly tasty. No idea what it is called, but it is located in the entrance of the SPAR supermarket, right across the street for the Hackescher Höfe. You can't miss it! Don't forget to get hot sauce!
